If any woman is ever doubting getting married, remember how useful a man can be for chores such as this one. Yes, every year after our 10 mile-high banks of snow melt, we are left with a huge yard full of wet, soggy grass mixed with doggy doo-doo. I've never once had to scoop any of it because Dick takes care of that right away. Oddly enough, I think he enjoys it. Afterall, it's too early to do yard work and we've been stuck inside for 4 months with absolutely nothing to do.
So the point of this post is to say how super HAPPY and relieved I am that spring has finally sprung! The robins are back and in a week or so the grass may even start to turn green. The sound of birds singing in the morning is music to my ears. Did I mention that we only have 34 school days left until our summer off?
Speaking of dog doo, here's our Sophie (a.k.a Pika) almost all grown up! Isn't she pretty? She's been limping the last couple of days on and off and of course I'm thinking of all the worse possible things it could be.
Friday is almost here and this should be a baking weekend because we don't have any big plans yet. I can't wait to try some new recipes.

Lol...the dog scooping poop looks just like my dogs! Too bad they really can't do it themselves. When my 2 oldest were really little and I was babysitting fulltime, scooping poop was the highlight of my day. I remember the kids lining up at the sliding glass doors to watch me as I savored the 5 minutes outside ALL ALONE!! There really can be joy in scooping poop. :)
LOL Lisa! You'd get along great with my husband!
I was a sahm for many years too and I remember how desperate I was to get out of the house. Now I'm desperate to get back home. Grass is always greener...
