I found these cute card ideas from http://familyfun.com/ and did them with the students before school was let out. They are so cute and super simple. I think that something like this, with a message hand-written from the heart inside from his kids, means the most to a dad. Of course, a gift certificate stuck inside to some cool manly store never hurts either!
You'll need:
Some decorative paper, or have your child make some
scissors
glue
buttons
To make one, first cut a 4- by 12-inch rectangle from a piece of decorative scrapbook paper and fold it in half to create a double-layer 4- by 6-inch rectangle:
Next, cut a slit on each side about one inch from the top and about 1 inch in:
Fold the slit over and down on each side to form a collar:
Cut out a tie from decorative paper and glue it under the collar:
Glue down the collar and glue on decorative buttons:
Write the message inside and give to Dad.
I'll be back on later today with a new recipe. My pantry is starting to dwindle down a bit!

This is very cute! My daughter will love making this. I like the step by sep instructions too.
Tanya, what a cute card.. I think that I will have the boys make them tonight.. Thanks for the great instructions.. I just made a batch of the pudding cookies and they are fantastic.. I cut the recipe in half, thinking that it would be to many cookies for our trip.. Big Mistake:-).. I am not sure that there will be any left by tonight.. I am going to the store tonight for more pudding and candy bars.. Thanks for the great recipe..
What a cute and clever idea for Father's Day! -Julia :-)
